T-Rex Restaurant Disney Springs

From the bridge across the lagoon.

Yesterday, we had lunch at T-Rex in Disney Springs. Pretty sure two lunches shouldn’t cost over sixty dollars, but I admit the place is nifty. We got there about 25 minutes early and wandered around about 10 of those…took a few outside photos..😎
I think you can even read the menu.

Then we checked in (there was a short line) we were called in pretty quick.  For a place with no reservations available it sure had a lot of empty seats…maybe a staffing problem…🤷‍♀️

This is the Dino family at the entrance.

The bar (an underwater theme) was also at the entrance it was almost completely empty, so I’m wondering if that’s  the place to go if you don’t have reservations or a Landry card.

We were seated at a twofer, pretty close to most of the dinosaurs..
Service was very quick, and after we ordered, I jumped up and photographed most of the dinosaurs..here they are.

There was an ice cave room, too. Woolly Mammoths were guarding it, and there was a nifty Skelton in the ice wall…

Not long after the meal started (oh, here’s  a photo, I forgot at the beginning so we’d already started..😬). There was a ‘rain storm’ a little bit of noise, and flashing ceiling lights, then most of the Dino’s  moved their  heads a bit more than they were before. It was fun to see so many kids go over and pet the dinosaurs…
We ended up taking enough home for supper…
This is one final shot, it’s just the ceiling and back wall, but I thought it was pretty..

The Boardwalk

I took a walk around the Boardwalk today. I used the Epcot back entrance to get there. It’s a short walk over. The old ESPN place is the first building, still empty…I wonder what it’s going to be next..

There really isn’t much there. I think, to get it really popular, they’ll need more things to do and a way bigger parking lot…there are seldom free spots available  (unless you have a reservation) and the valet parking, which is always available (you ask at the guard gate) is up to $35. Really not worth it, unless maybe you are doing dinner and dancing till after 1:00 and need a car to get back where you are staying..
The market is fairly nice sized and not ever crowded, so a comfortable place to shop.

There’s a really nice ice cream parlor.

A boat dock.

What’s cool is some of the rooms and parts of the resort are all built around the area.

There are a few (about three) Canival games that open at 4:00. And you can rent bike cars to pedal around the area…

There’s a bar with dueling pianos and a dance hall open until 1:00 AM.

If you are staying on property take Disney transport….if you aren’t and you just want to visit in the day time, your best option is to park at Disney Springs and bus over..just don’t stay past time the buses run back…they do always have valet parking..it’s $30 you just ask at the guard gate, and they call your tag in up at the valet entrance…
   Have fun..

New Magic Shots at EPCOT

Still the Flower and Garden Show.

Trip to Epcot today was almost an accident….there was a question that someone had about the Boardwalk so I figured if I was going out there, I might as well walk around Epcot…I was surprised on this Easter Sunday that there were reservations even available….but there were, so I grabbed one and headed out.

I was amused to see they gave Rabbit carrots for Easter.

There weren’t very many photographers at the entrance so I was afraid I wouldn’t see anything I wanted but, the right side construction area had one as usual. They do the confetti there. I have MK and AK spring confetti, but thought I’d get it any way….

As I passed the imagination pavilion I saw a photographer in front of the Figment topiary…that was new! (At least I’d never seen it before)…so I got that…he took several, but I liked this one best.

Then as I was going toward the lands one of the little alcoves had a new area set up…I thought it might be the butterflies, but the photographer said it wasn’t, it was a surprise…and it really was! Two brand new magic shots…

  First was Isabel..

The second took me a few minutes to notice…but it’s a flower frame…

This was all on the way To the board walk! Afterward, I went ahead and walked all the way around the lands, and totally by accident saw a photographer a little way down in to China… I have no shots of China at all…and I was finally able to get the pass port shot…who knows I might actually be able to get them all!

I also went ahead and did another butterfly…I was hoping this one would be centered better…I s going to do a new  Ratatouille as well, but no one was there…The zoom shot was unmanned, too…I guess a lot of people off for Easter.

The Boardwalk adventure (which was really just a walk through) will be the next post…

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

    Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe.
 Tomorrowland…Magic Kingdom

When I’m at the Magic Kingdom, it’s always hard for me to decide between Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bill’s. Cosmic Ray’s has FF and is one of the few fast food places that offers onions for their hamburgers… and while Pecos Bill’s has no FFs,  they have tortilla chips and you can buy a yummy queso dip for them.
This trip, I went for Comic Rays. I was alone, as I basically was looking for the Cheshire Cat magic shot. I checked the spot, and no photographer, and since it’s just across the way to Cosmic Rays, figured I’d  eat and try again later…unfortunately it was straight up noon, and very busy.

The cafe is very large though, with several dining areas and even patio seating…getting my food didn’t take much longer than usual…I used the phone app to order as I normally do…so easy…

I was a little worried though, while I was waiting for my food I was looking around for an empty table, and there were none! I was afraid I’d have to eat standing up or go sit on the curb…
Luckily,  just as I got my food, I saw a group leaving from the exact area I wanted… I went over and strangely, within about 5-10 minutes there were several empty tables…

In fact as soon as I sat down, two tables opened up against the rail, and I immediately moved over to one.
It gave me a great view of the ‘band’.

I had my usual… a hamburger and fries…and a bottle of water…(at the few places that do refills I often get root beer.)

Here’s a shot of  just Sonny.

And I actually had time to scrapbook my lunch..🤷‍♀️😎

If you are a scrapper, All the elements and a png empty page are available here.
